Hospice Waikato Foundation
The Hospice Waikato Foundation was founded in 2010 to ensure the future of Hospice services will be available for generations to come.
It is responsible for the long-term interests of Hospice Waikato, including raising funds for capital works and managing and growing a portfolio of investments for the benefit of Hospice, whereas the Hospice Waikato Trust is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Hospice and all operational expenditure.
Hospice Waikato is partly funded by the Ministry of Health, with the balance funded by the generosity of people in the community. That’s why we established the Hospice Waikato Foundation – to provide the financial back up and support for the hospice so that it may continue to help future generations of people and their families/whānau. One in three people will need the specialist palliative care that Hospice Waikato provides in the future.
We encourage you to consider leaving a gift in your Will to Hospice Waikato. Doing so is an amazing act of generosity and a legacy of love. Including a gift extends your legacy from you and your family to your community. A gift in your Will is a simple and effective way to support other people’s needs many years into the future. It is a wonderful legacy to leave. All gifted funds are administered by the Hospice Waikato Foundation.
As the Foundation grows, it will be there to support not only the immediate financial needs of the hospice but also provide funding for future capital requirements.
